Conversational Hypnosis
Many people underestimate the power of conversational hypnosis.

This is often due to the fact, that they actually don’t clearly understand what it actually is. Unlike a zombie like trance, where the subject seems to have virtually no control over their actions, this is a much more subtle form of mind control, only just as effective.
In almost all cases, the person being influenced, has no idea as to what is actually happening, hence the term covert or conversational hypnosis. In reality, the hypnotist is appearing to be talking normally, but saying things in such a way, that they bypass the logical and analytical part of the mind and get absorbed as a hidden command by the subconscious.
To a casual listener, it seems as if there is only a normal conversation going on, about some random topic, that both parties seem to be interested in. However, the subject is fed certain vocabulary, which is concealed in such a way as to not seem obvious, that will suggest a certain thought, or embed a specific command.
This is done, by varying the speed, volume or inflection of certain words, in such a way, that the normal analytical mind would not notice, but the subconscious will pick them out and string them together, to form a coherent statement
The trick is to structure sentences in such a way, that they still seem to make sense to the normal listener, yet contain the embedded command with powerful words in the correct sequence.
When this word and sentence structure is available to be used, it only remains to then emphasize the parts making up the command to be absorbed into the subjects mind.
Now logically, this sounds fairly simple. However, for someone to string together a persuasive phrase, using words, which might not normally fit the current subject of conversation, is an art. It is something that requires a very sharp and astute thought process, as well as an adequate vocabulary to pull off. Furthermore, the attention required to do this, means that one has to be thinking along two lines at once – firstly the original subject of the conversation, and secondly the command that is to be communicated.
On top of that, highlighting the command words in a subtle but discernable way, which does not seem strange or unnatural to the subject is also something that needs to be used carefully.
All of this can be achieved, once the basic principles are understood. Thereafter, it becomes merely a matter of practice, until perfection is reached.
There are though a number of prerequisites, to making conversational hypnosis work effectively. Understanding the above and optimizing its delivery, is of little use or effect, if the subject is not listening to you.
As obvious as this sounds, this is where most would be hypnotists go wrong. They fail to establish a channel of communication first. It is somewhat like reciting a brilliant Shakespeare soliloquy at the bottom of a mine shaft. It might be brilliant, but since no one hears you, who will know?
So it would actually be better to have something not quite as brilliant, but uttered within earshot of an attentive audience.
Again , a simple concept, but so often disregarded. So for the power of conversational hypnosis to be usable, it is imperative, that a communication channel needs to be there first.
